I don't think my piece fits this painting at all. It's not sleek or hip or cool. It is rumbling and bluesy.

Your response to this painting is downright chipper! Perhaps you were projecting yourself onto the painting--whereas this fellow is quite sober, you would be throwing your head back with a maniacal cackle.

I agree with Kristina. Though I love the improv, I think it would with been best with something for sultry and film noir. Something about his expression, and her coolness...
